This is a private scheme, with a probable cost of c. £15–18M. Ib
vogt UK was established in 2009 as a subsidiary of the German company
ib vogt GmbH, which has already built solar farms at a number of sites
in the South of England, including Ebsfleet and the Isle of Wight. The
proposed installation at Upper Stoneham would be one of the biggest.

No
indication has been given yet that  a community contribution could be
included in the plans, but Ovesco welcomes renewables whoever pays for
them. This proposal has the safeguard that it will be scrutinised by the
SDNPA, ensuring that effects on the landscape are kept to an acceptable
minimum.
