The HeartMath techniques are quite simple; traditional even.  But they are reinforced by an ingenious bit of biofeedback kit that allows you to see how breathing, mindfulness and positive emotion affect heart-rhythm. I have been most intrigued by the way practicing a ‘coherent’ heart rhythm affects the way I think and feel.  Anyway, all of this has been very useful, because after forty-odd years of yoga and meditation I had started feeling unsure about whether I was getting ‘results’ and ‘making progress’!  http://www.heartmath.org
