Sustainable Development and Living: the proposed Phoenix development

Wednesday 8 December, 6pm-7.30pm, webinar, FREE

As part of the South Downs Network webinar series, developers Human Nature show how they plan to develop the North Street area of Lewes to create a ‘super-green’ neighbourhood.

The redevelopment of the 15-acre North Street/Phoenix Industrial Estate site in Lewes is one of the most significant brownfield developments in the South Downs National Park – or indeed any national park in the UK.  Over the past year, sustainable developers Human Nature, a Lewes-based company, has been working on plans for a new walkable, renewably-powered, super-green neighbourhood on the site.

Plans were initially presented to the town in an exhibition in September.

This 90-minute webinar hosted by the South Downs Network will use the plans for the Phoenix development to explore how we can create neighbourhoods that allow us to reduce our carbon footprint and broader environmental impact. It will be led by Chelsea Renton, Partner, Head of Communities at Human Nature, supported by a panel of her colleagues and will include audience participation and a Q&A.

Most important eco aspect is home generated renewable energy is the most profitable passive activity on earth when the install cost is added to the mortgage.

My next new build homes are a world 1st, they: 117% offset households entire carbon footprint and make homeowners 500% profit or 750% if you have an electric car
    (income/savings – increased mortage cost )

Climate change is the worst eco crime. 100% totally offsetting households entire carbon footprint is the most important eco design
