Supporters of Transition Town Lewes are invited to the OVESCO launch of the Sunny Solar Schools share offer and to learn more about the Solar Leisure Heating project at the Linklater Pavilion on Wednesday 8th November 2017 at 7.30pm (doors open at 7pm).
Building on OVESCO’s success having already installed 250kW of roof top PV across the Lewes District, the OVESCO team has now set up two new Community Benefit Societies to raise investment in renewable energy with a 4% return after the 2nd year: |
OVESCO Sunny Solar Schools is installing roof top solar PV at schools in East Sussex and kicks off with an additional 30kW installed at Kings Academy in Ringmer. A further ten schools have completed feasibility studies with an average of 40kW at each school and an additional fourteen schools have already been identified. By supporting this share offer you would reduce the school’s energy bills, cut carbon emissions and use solar PV as an educational tool.
OVESCO Solar Leisure Heating aims to install solar thermal at leisure centres run by Wave Leisure in the Lewes District. Using hot water from the sun’s energy to reduce reliance on fossil fuels for heating swimming pools and showers, this project will lower energy bills and significantly cut carbon emissions. OVESCO’s feasibility studies have also identified energy saving measures such as installing pool covers. By supporting this project, you would help reduce costs for local health and sports facilities.
Please join the OVESCO team to find out how you can invest in renewable energy to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and build resilience into our future energy supply.
