Help out at Eco Open Houses
This September, local community energy company OVESCo is holding two Eco Open House weekends. If you’re passionate about showing people how they can make their homes greener and more energy efficient – here’s an opportunity to help.
At the Eco Open House weekends, local homeowners who have made energy-saving changes to their properties will open their doors to the public.
Visitors will get to see what work has been done – from installing solar panels and heat pumps to improving insulation – what energy and other savings are being achieved and ask their own questions about the practicalities and cost involved.
It’s a great way to inspire people to make similar changes to their homes – and learn first-hand from people who have already done it.
The Eco Open House season will take place on the following weekends:
14-15 September – Lewes and Barcombe
21-22 September – Rodmell, Newhaven and Seaford
How you can help
Eco Open House events are great fun and can be very popular. Homeowners taking part welcome a helping hand to ensure everything runs smoothly, from greeting and directing visitors to addressing queries, or just having someone around to help with any small tasks that arise.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved in, please contact Ruth on ruth.rudwick@ovesco.co.uk or 07825 245 045.
