Could you be a local energy champion volunteer?

1 Oct & 30 Nov, 10am-midday,  Sussex Community Development Association, Denton Island, Newhaven

Community energy company Ovesco, in partnership with Community Energy South, are seeking people who would like to train to be energy champion volunteers and help other people in Lewes be more energy efficient and, potentially, cut their fuel bills.

The role involves helping to support drop-in sessions at the Lewes Climate Hub at 2 Fisher Street on Friday mornings to provide energy advice.

You’ll be trained to help people take control of their energy bills, see where they can move to cheaper energy tariffs, and signpost them to other sources of help and information. Volunteers from Ovesco will be present at some of the Climate Hub drop-ins to support energy champion volunteers.

Ovesco will be holding face-to-face events in Newhaven on Friday 1 October and Tuesday 30 November, 10am to midday, explaining what being an energy champion involves and showing volunteers how to read their own – and others’ energy bills.
