What is Climate Fresk?
Climate Fresk is a three-hour workshop consisting of a hands-on adult education game using picture cards to help anyone understand the origins and impacts of climate crisis. It’s also designed to inspire open, positive discussion about what actions we can take individually and collectively to address the crisis.
It makes a difficult subject fun to learn about. Through participants’ active, collective participation. everyone has something to learn from each other – and time passes very quickly!
What makes it different from other workshops?
Having attracted over 1.8 million participants in 162 countries, Climate Fresk has proven to be very inspiring, helping people to feel empowered with knowledge and understanding about the interlinked causes and effects of climate change.
What’s also important is that it is firmly anchored in science, drawing on the Nobel prize-winning IPCC climate report that is delivered to the United Nations every three years.
It’s proving a very powerful way to make complex climate science highly accessible and understandable – and help anyone feel confident to explain and discuss the origins of climate change and the impacts it is creating.
Who attends Climate Fresk workshops?
Climate Fresk workshops are widely held in schools, colleges, businesses and community organisations. It’s rapidly become the go-to tool around the world for raising public consciousness and providing science-based climate education.
After attending Climate Fresk, you’ll hopefully feel informed, enlightened and inspired for action!
