A huge thank you to everyone who attended or featured in our online Electric Car and Bike Shows in April. If you missed them, recordings of both events are now available to watch. 

Talking about cars and bikes online isn’t quite the same as being able to kick the tyres in real life. But April’s online Electric Car and Bike Shows still proved a great success. Together they attracted over 120 attendees – not only locally but from as far afield as the Netherlands and the Czech Republic! The wonder of the internet, eh?

Hear from local owners of a range of electric models from low-cost Smart cars and the Nissan Leaf to Teslas, BMWs and even a Jaguar. Learn about each car’s travelling range, charging time and price (both new and used). And hear drivers’ experiences of the practicalities of charging up both at home and when on the road – plus planning for longer journeys.

Local electric bicycle owners talk about why they chose the model they did, the difference in riding experience, and the benefits of going electric. As well as looking at a range of popular new e-bike models, the Show talks to cyclists who have converted a standard bike to electric. Matt Bird of Lewes District Council also discusses plans for introducing e-cargo bikes in Lewes for cleaner, greener short-distance delivery.
