Come and fight to save Lewes Bus Station

Thursday 8 September, South Downs Centre,North Street, Midhurst

The next South Downs National Park Authority Planning Committee meeting is a potential chance to get your voice heard on the imminent loss of our town’s bus station

The South Downs National Park Authority have now received over 700 objections to the Generator Group’s plans to develop Lewes Bus Station into housing. The Generator Group have already served an eviction notice to the bus companies and businesses residing at the station, despite having found no suitable replacement for it to date.

The bus station application is being considered by the SDNPA planning committee on 8th September at its offices in Midhurst. The Green Party is arranging transport for Lewes residents, after its request to hold the meeting in Lewes was rejected.

If you’d like to attend the meeting in Midhurst, please contact and let them know how many people will be travelling with you and whether you can offer a lift to others. Voluntary contributions of £10-20 will be suggested if it’s necessary to rent coaches.
