Planet Party: a Lewes Festival for Climate Action

11am-4pm, Sunday 19 September, Linklater Pavilion & Railway Land, Lewes, FREE

Lewes Climate Hub, the Railway Land Wildlife Trust and Lewes Town Council are joining forces to host a free family festival of activities, stalls, talks and music to inspire action on climate change.

Planet Party celebrates the positive and practical things we can do to help look after our planet. From how we travel, to what we wear to how we power our homes, visitors will be able to explore a range of big and small ideas to make a difference. Talks will look at how our world is changing and what can be done to help it – as individuals, communities and governments.

From puppet shows to bug hunts, there’ll be lots for children of all ages. Visitors can also cheer on the ‘Guardians of the Ouse’ flotilla of boats up the Ouse, take a boat trip and discover what action we can take to keep our rivers healthy.

At the end of the day, a Citizens’ Climate Assembly will let everyone share their thoughts on what should happen locally to help Lewes tackle climate change. Refreshments and food available throughout the day.

Hello! A stall holder at the Lewes Friday market (selling Vegan goods) – Jessie Kwong – would REALLY like to get involved in the Planet Party itself. Who is the person she needs to contact in order to help out? Please let me know soonest – many thanks – Brigitte I said I would ask/find out on her behalf.
