This award-winning film, executive produced by Oscar-nominated Director Fernando Meirelles (City of God, The Two Popes, The Constant Gardener) follows Malian musician Inna Modja who takes us on an epic journey along Africa’s Great Green Wall — an ambitious vision to grow an 8,000km ‘wall’ of trees stretching across the entire continent. The project hopes to fight back against apocalyptic climate change, severe resource scarcity, increased conflict and mass migration. The documentary aims to embrace the power of public awareness and inspire social action to ensure the Great Green Wall becomes a reality by 2030.

The film will be followed by a Q&A with Emma Montlake (Environmental Lawyer for The Environmental Law Foundation and Trustee of The Sussex Wildlife Trust) and Judy Ling Wong (President of the Black Environment Network). Hosted by Depot’s Green Ambassador Natasha Padbury.
