STOP PRESS: Due to a new motion temporarily suspending some debates in Parliament in response to Covid-19, we understand that the second reading of the CEE Bill has been postponed from its 26 March date. We’ll let you know when we have more information.
Over the last few months, we’ve been asking Maria Caulfield, MP for Lewes, to back the Climate & Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill. Now you can print off and display a poster asking for her support when the Bill gets its second Parliamentary reading.
In recent months, we’ve devoted a lot of coverage in our newsletter to the Climate & Ecological Emergency (CEE) Bill that’s currently going through Parliament. A cross-party Bill that’s been written by scientists, academics, lawyers and campaigners, you can read TTL’s reasons for supporting it here.
Get your organisation to sign the CEE Bill open letter to Maria
A number of community and environmental groups in and around Lewes have got together to campaign for support for the Bill. This includes asking as many local organisations and businesses as possible to sign an open letter to Maria asking her to vote for the Bill in Parliament when it gets its second reading. If you’re part of an organisation that might be interested in seeing the letter and signing it, let us know by email…

You can also be part of the Lewes CEE Bill Alliance poster campaign. Just click on the link above and download and print off the poster-side of the CEE Bill A4 leaflet and display in your window.
The more posters displayed, the more powerfully we can get the message across that the time is now critical to take properly thought-out and comprehensive action on the climate and ecological emergency.
If you’d like to display a poster that’s larger than A4, drop us a line here…
